Wonderful thin crust pizza but they tend to burn the edges so there is an inch or two of waste and inedible crust. Also the pizza takes a long time to come out it's thin crust for crying out loud! Better make reservations on the weekends because they are crazy busy!

A great example of what classic NJ tavern pizza is all about. Thin, cracker crust, amazing flavor, perfect balance of sause, cheese and crust. So good and thin you could eat an entire large pie solo if you were so inclined. The vibe inside was friendly, homey and completely unpretentious. Probably very much the same as when it first opened in the 1940's (source?). Went on a Saturday night with no reservation and the wait was an hour but well worth it.

Really good extra thin crust pizza

Tried to eat there. 45 minute to an hour wait. There is literally no place to wait to be seated. Seems like an overrated place. Didn’t wait to try food because no one would wait an hour for pizza. If you want to try it I would highly suggest calling before going there.

Overrated . Pizza Crust is thin no doubt but the wait and the portions don’t equate to reviews esp incomparison to pricing . They rest on laurels of past rankings but don’t strive to surpass or at least uphold their prior ranking. Additionally ordered a spaghetti and meatballs, they hardly gave any spaghetti it was a portion size for a toddler at the price for 2 adults . Very disappointing. Save ur time and aggravation; and above all ur hard earned money. Go else where in town esp if u travel a distance to try this highly ranked NJ pizza. U’ll be disappointed prob like my family was .

Wonderful bar pies, calamari was a little spicy for my tastes but still good

Got the Grandma pie and it was pretty good. I waited over an hour for the pizza that’s why I only gave it 3 stars. Crust was paper thin and sauce was flavorful. I’d com back during the week but not on a Friday again.

Ordered 3 pizzas 2 plain 1 pepperoni all great thin crust hot and crispy she even gave me 6 actual plastic cups plates and napkins to bring with me for everyone to use, excellent pizza

Very good pizza, one of a kind crust

Went on Saturday night with friends. We all liked our dish except my wife. She said the chicken fra diablo was mediocre at best. I had chicken parm, it was delicious. Did not have pizza. My father went on Sunday with friends and said service was slow (only one waitress), pizza was lousy and the meatballs tasted like hamburgers. I say take your chances. It's a cool little spot.

I went and ate out SIDE I HAD chiken franchise was good. But. service. Is very slow. I called a few days later for a pizza pie half chicken franchise and half bacon they said the kichen said it's too messy to make. So I called. PLUM TOMATO PIZZA. PIZZA WAS GREAT

Used to be really good for pizza was very good but they’re always very short staffed and they seem to cater to regulars more than they do to people who just walk in and there’s always only one server working shouldn’t be in there in hour and a half just to get a pie

Pizza was delicious. Atmosphere looks like it hasn't been updated since Sinatra, so it's classic.

Food always good! Food could have been hotter. Homey atmosphere and friendly service.

The menu and service were beyond my expectations. We absolutely liked the ambience of this spot. Excellent place to take the family out for dinner.

According to Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports, Nancy’s has some of the best bar pizza in New Jersey.

Too much hype for nothing. Large pizza was small in size: about 14 Inches not 16. Very greasy and not worth all that hype. Plus, had to wait an hour for a simple plain pie. Walked in to an empty place with workers hanging out... why such a long wait.

This place is worth a try. They have large portions for affordable rates. Constantly well organized and with great atmosphere. Will come back again.

This review is jaded because the food and unique pizza lifts what's lacking. Service is friendly but they seemed overwhelmed and this can cause a drop in experience. Definitely go for the garlic and black olive pizza though, and sangria, and salad!!!

Definitely liked the vibe this place puts out. No frills, old school 40's style restaurant that doesn't disappoint especially with their pizza. True thin crust pizza that is very reasonably priced. Call early to make a reservation because the place fills out fast, otherwise you'll only be able to sit at the bar. My only gripe is that the service was slow. Other than that, this will be my new go to spot.

Had a nice lunch with a friend when I visited her in Rahway. We wanted to stay close to the NJ train station, so went to Nancy's Towne House. Will be back!

I prefer this restaurant very much. there is a friendly mood. The meals are exeptionaly good. the service is powerful and the personel is trained. The pay is fair. I highly recommend.

Food is great. Needs a facelift. Service is horrible. Plan on being there a while.

Great thin-crust pizza. I have lived in Metuchen for 36 years and have been searching for pizza as good as the places I knew at the shore, Carmen's in Neptune, Freddy's in Long Branch, Vic's in Bradley Beach, Brother's in Red Bank. I've finally found it.

Great thin crust pizza.

I've heard the pizza was good here (if you like thin crust) so I finally made my way over. Went on a Thursday night in the summer and the place was packed ! When we got there we didn't see a host/hostess so after a few minutes of standing around we sat ourselves. It took about 10 minutes just to get the menu then around another 10 minutes to get waters. From what I saw there was only one waitress for the whole place. We weren't in a rush so it was okay ! Ordered pizza and garlic bread as an app and a carafe of wine. I love thin crust so I had zero complaints ! Definitely the thinnest crust pizza i've ever had. Ordered the lasagna as my dinner and it did not disappoint ! Besides the service being on the slower side the food was exceptional. Just don't go if you're in a rush.

Super cool joint. Understand their pizza is fantastic, but we had dinner previously. Beers were cold; bartender was super kind and sweet.

Ordered a large Margarita Pizza with Onions... No problem right....I live next door an didn't check it, no onions and not cooked, brought it back a n politely explained what I wanted, go home again soft crust, not cooked anymore, just threw onion on top of a Togo person....Do that Butger King drive thru

Got a pepperoni and meatball bar pie and it was very good. Thin crust had a perfect crisp to it and the sauce was pretty good. Good flavor in each bite, one of the best pies I've had in the central Jersey area so far.

Went with friends before a show, we ordered 2 pizzas, an hour and a half later we got one, ended up taking the other one to go. Saw people that came after us getting served before us. Bad service...good pizza though

Best thin crust pizza I’ve ever had. Veggie pizza was very fresh. My other favorite is the cheese ravioli. And best days for service are always Sunday ! Had a really good time. I really really REALLY RECOMMEND.
